First Day of School: Thursday, August 20th 


Welcome to the New School Year at Larsen! 🍎

We are so excited to welcome our students and families back to campus! To ensure a smooth, safe, and happy transition for everyone, please review the important details below regarding the first days of school, breakfast, and drop-off/pick-up procedures.

🏫 Closed Campus Policy & First Days Exception

Larsen is a closed campus. For the safety of all students, all visitors must check in at the main office and present a valid photo ID before entering campus.
  • First Two Days Exception (Thursday & Friday): Parents are welcome to accompany their child to their classroom or morning line-up area.
  • Starting Monday, August 24: All students must be dropped off at the front gate by the office. Parents will no longer be allowed on campus after this date.
A Quick Tip for Success: Transitioning can bring big feelings! It is essential to reassure your child that you are leaving them in the safe hands of their teacher, and clearly let them know who will be picking them up at the end of the day.

🥣 Morning Breakfast & Drop-Off

We encourage all students to start their day with a healthy meal!
  • Breakfast Hours: 7:30 AM – 7:50 AM daily.
  • TK/K & 1st Grade: Eat inside the cafeteria.
  • 2nd – 5th Grade: Eat at the outdoor picnic tables and line up after finishing.
  • Parent Note: Parents are not allowed inside the cafeteria during breakfast time.
Not eating breakfast? Please drop off your child by 8:00 AM.
(Note: TK & Kindergarten students will still gather safely in the cafeteria until their teachers pick them up when the bell rings at 8:05 AM).

🚗 Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Parking Guidelines

Please be mindful of traffic and parking rules to help keep all our children safe:
  • Dismissal Gates:
    • TK & Kindergarten: Released from the gate near the Kinder classrooms.
    • 1st – 5th Grade: Dismissed from the front of the school and the back gate.
  • Parking Notice: Visitor parking is extremely limited. Please park legally on the street and walk your child safely to the gate.
  • Staff Lot: Absolutely NO student drop-off or pick-up is permitted in the staff parking lot.
  • Roundabout: You may use the roundabout for quick drop-offs and pick-ups. It is a 1-minute drive-through zone only—no parking or idling is allowed.

First Day Packet Pick-Up Details

 First Day Packets. These packets contain essential forms, teacher and classroom assignments, student schedules, information,  and emergency cards.  Please complete all paperwork and return it to your child's teacher the first day of school.  
Please review the schedule below and stop by your grade level table to collect your materials:
